I had the same issue when I took my PS4's old 500GB HDD out and found this link helpful: I too had the issue of all blue, healthy partitions, but I took a risk and deleted them all anyway to make them one big black partition. After this, I followed what the website says and right-clicked the black partition and selected 'New Simple Volume'. I then followed the steps on the link, except where it says to make sure to NOT select 'Perform a quick format' or 'Enable file and folder compression'. Instead I SELECTED/CHECKED THE BOX that says 'Perform a quick format' (I tried it how the link says by unchecking them and it would've taken all day to format; after 10 minutes it was only at 1% formatted, so I cancelled the format, went through and checked the quick format box). After all that you should be good to go. I safely ejected my external HDD from my computer, plugged it back in, and sure enough it popped up. I checked the storage and there was all 465GB (Anything you get will not have 100% available storage i.e. Only 456GB out of a 500GB HDD). I hope this helps! I was having the same problem, there is an even simpler way of doing it, you will not beleive!!!! I found it all by myself(: if you click the options button on your controller when you are on PS4 (Main Menu) Settings-Devices-USB Storage Devices- Choose your hard drive bring it up dont go any further click the options button on controller and it gives you a choice to turn back to ExFAT which is compatible with Windows 7-10 This beats all of your anwsers you have been given so much more simpler than having to code it back Hope this helps new people.
